Retro Bionics vs. Practical Innovation
In the latest short video from our Facebook page, (shared from our friends at
Geekversy), looking back at the RoboCop 2 arcade game it is easy to appreciate
how well the game held up. But playing as, (or against) the Kane unit also
serves as a perfect lesson in why some approaches to bionics just don't work.
The Kane design is the ultimate example of how not to do it: bulky,
unpredictable, and structurally vulnerable. True progress in bionics is about
stability, and utility. Not just raw unstable power.
