Before modern Robotics there was R.O.B. the Robotic Operating Buddy. While
many view him simply as a 1985 gaming accessory R.O.B. represents a
foundational milestone in human-Robot interaction. Unlike a drone that
requires constant human input R.O.B. utilized visual cues to execute tasks
demonstrating a form of baseline autonomy that separated him from simple
remote-controlled devices. From the random navigation, and state-based explore
modes of the Omnibots to R.O.B.'s ability to interact with video games these
early systems proved that a Robot could possess a level of independent agency
the moment it was activated. At True Partner Systems we understand that these
early innovations are the essential ancestors of today’s reasoning-capable AI
& Robotics.
We don’t just look at the current frontier. We respect the mechanics
that made it possible. Are you ready to see how your operations can evolve
beyond simple automation into true intelligent partnership? Consult with TPS
today to explore the future of AI & Robotics!
