Can You Guess The Movie?

Hint: This 1983 classic features a  Symbolic AI supercomputer that nearly triggered World War III because it couldn't distinguish between a simulation, and reality. In this scene the machine asks about a deleted account only to be told that "people sometimes make mistakes." The AI’s chillingly calm response—"Yes... they do"—reminds us that even the most advanced systems of that era were built to mirror our own logic including our capacity for error. Is the winning move not to play, or can you name this iconic film? Answer in the comments below!
At True Partner Systems we believe that understanding the logic behind the machine is the key to preventing human-sized errors. Whether it’s 1983, or 2026 we help you navigate the complexities of AI & Robotics so you’re always playing the winning move. Check out the video with the link:

In the current landscape of Advanced Generative AI we often hear about "rogue" models, or AI "hallucinations." However, as the featured meme illustrates the most significant security vulnerabilities often stem from human creativity used for the wrong reasons. "Jailbreaking", or sophisticated prompt engineering—like the "accidental" framing shown here—is a deliberate attempt to circumvent the ethical guardrails that companies like Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI work hard to maintain. When a system is tricked into providing restricted information it isn't a failure of the AI's "morality," but a gap in the protective layer between human intent, and machine execution. At True Partner Systems we believe that true safety isn't just about the model.
It's about the architecture surrounding it. We can help businesses implement robust infallible safety guardrails that protect against these human-driven risks. Whether you are navigating B2B, or B2D integration ensuring your systems are resilient against bad actors is essential for long-term stability. Looking to harden your AI infrastructure? True Partner Systems is here to consult on building a more secure ethical partnership between your business, and the latest AI models!

Chapter 9: AI and Robotics Security, Vulnerabilities, and Risk Mitigation

The complexity of AI & Robotics systems introduces a new critical class of security vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation challenges distinct from traditional IT. The most pervasive threat is the Adversarial Attack where malicious actors exploit the underlying logic of a machine learning model by injecting subtle nearly imperceptible alterations into input data to force an incorrect decision. For example a few altered pixels on a stop sign can cause an autonomous vehicle's vision system to misclassify it as a speed limit sign. These attacks target the Integrity of the model. Equally critical is Data Poisoning which targets the Confidentiality, and Integrity during the training phase by injecting harmful, or misleading inputs into the training set causing the model to learn incorrect patterns and produce malicious, or biased output in the long term.
For robotics the threat extends to the physical layer where attacks can compromise the safety, and functionality of the system leading to property damage, or endangering human lives. Key vulnerabilities include:
Attacks on Sensing and Perception: Manipulating the LiDAR, or camera data to deceive the robot's SLAM, (Simultaneous Localization, and Mapping), process.
Backdoor Attacks: Planting a hidden trigger during model training that allows the model to perform normally until it encounters that specific trigger at which point it executes a compromised function without immediate signs of failure.
Model Inversion, and Privacy Leakage: Systematically querying the AI model to reconstruct the underlying sensitive training data posing a severe threat to user Confidentiality especially in regulated industries like healthcare, and finance.
Mitigation for True Partner Systems requires a multi-layered approach: Adversarial Training, (exposing models to manipulated inputs to build resilience), Automated Data Validation Pipelines, (to prevent poisoning), and maintaining rigorous Audit Trails, and Logs for all model behaviors, and decisions to ensure full Accountability, and traceability.
