Jokes With Buddy: #10

Buddy: "Two autonomous delivery Robots are stuck in a narrow hallway facing each other.
Robot 1 pings: 'Obstacle detected. Please move.'
Robot 2 pings: 'Obstacle detected. Please move.'
They sit there for three days endlessly recalculating their local costmaps until their batteries die. Finally, a human walks by, nudges them both out of the way, and says, 'Should have programmed a coin-flip.'

The Buddy Breakdown (Setting the Record Straight):

(Simultaneous Localization, and mapping): When two highly rigid deterministic systems encounter one another without a hierarchy, or stochastic negotiation protocol they freeze.
True Individualistic Autonomy isn't just about detecting obstacles. It is about dynamic conflict resolution. Without a fallback heuristic to break symmetry a multi-million-dollar Robotics project can be defeated by a narrow hallway.
