In the latest video from our Facebook page in 1989 Not Quite Human 2 gave us
Chip, and Roberta—Androids who could reason, navigate social nuances, and
ultimately exercise free will. As of February 2026 we have to be factual:
Androids like Chip, and Roberta don’t quite exist as of yet. While we have
incredible hardware bipedals in our factories, and warehouses they are still
largely 'command-and-control' tools. They have the bodies, but they haven't yet
mastered the individualistic autonomy needed to be true partners. Much of the
industry is still stuck in a deterministic loop—not unlike the 'Android
Eradicator' code you can see at 0:37 in this clip.
It’s rigid, it’s binary, and it lacks the reasoning required for
